There are 6 basic Roles built into Vidigami, each having a specific set of [permissions](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/understanding-access-and-permissions?hsLang=en) for full or limited access to [Pages](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/what-is-a-page?hsLang=en), features and functionality.  Roles are assigned by [Administrators](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/what-can-i-do-in-the-admin?hsLang=en), who can also create [Custom Roles](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-create-a-custom-role?hsLang=en) with tailored sets of permissions as needed.  Here are the basic Roles, with [access permissions](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/understanding-access-and-permissions?hsLang=en) from highest to lowest:   **ADMINISTRATOR** - has [full access](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/what-can-i-do-in-the-admin?hsLang=en) to all features and functionality in Vidigami, including the Admin area to [add/remove users](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-add-users-to-vidigami?hsLang=en). *It is recommended that there should be no more than four Vidigami Admins per school.* ![](https://help.vidigami.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-16-2025-05-07-25-9034-PM.png?width=688&height=276&name=image-png-May-16-2025-05-07-25-9034-PM.png)   **SITE MANAGER** - has the same permissions as Content Owner, but is also able to delete and/or move photos and videos uploaded by any user. ![](https://help.vidigami.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-16-2025-05-07-41-4430-PM.png?width=688&height=269&name=image-png-May-16-2025-05-07-41-4430-PM.png)   **CONTENT OWNER** - can [create Pages](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-create-a-new-page?hsLang=en), [upload media](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-upload-photos?hsLang=en) to Pages, [embed videos](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-embed-an-external-video?hsLang=en), [download](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-download-photos?hsLang=en) multiple photos at once, and [share](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/can-i-share-outside-of-vidigami?hsLang=en) [Collections](https://help.vidigami.com/knowledge/how-do-i-create-or-modify-a-collection?hsLang=en) outside of Vidigami (public sharing).   ![](https://help.vidigami.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-16-2025-05-08-02-6930-PM.png?width=688&height=275&name=image-png-May-16-2025-05-08-02-6930-PM.png)   **CONTRIBUTOR** - by default, this role is given to all users added to Vidigami.
