Removing Media from Vidigami

Understand how to remove media from Vidigami

Users that upload media to a container (Page, Album, or Collection) can also remove that media. In addition, Vidigami Admin can also remove media that anyone has uploaded.
When a user removes media from a container (like a Page, Album, or Collection), you are not deleting it from Vidigami. Instead, you're simply removing it from that location.
Here are more details:
  • The media lives with the person who uploaded it. It is stored in their My Uploads area. (Vidigami Admin can access other user's My Uploads. Here is an article on how to do that.)
  • Containers (Pages, Albums, Collections) are shared spaces. When a user uploads media to a container, it is uploaded to their My Uploads area and then immediately shared to the specific container.
  • When the uploader or Vidigami Admin removes media from a container, they are just removing the item from the container. They are not deleting the original file. The original file is still in the uploader's My Uploads area.
  • To permanently delete something from Vidigami, the uploader (or an Admin) needs to go into My Uploads and delete it from there.
