What is Vidigami?

Vidigami is a media-management system designed exclusively for schools. With Vidigami, members of the school community (staff, parents, and students) can upload, download and share photos in a members-only private site.

How do I get access to Vidigami?

Participation is by invitation only. The school decides who to invite, ensuring that Vidigami is a private, secure community.

Can I share content outside of Vidigami?

Users with the "Public Sharing" permission enabled can create a Slideshow from any of their own Collections to share outside of Vidigami. A Slideshow is public, and does not require a user to sign in to be able to view it.

Is there a mobile app for Vidigami?

There is an app for both Android and iPhone.

How do I upload a photo to Vidigami?

The school Vidigami Administrator decides which users have permission to upload to Vidigami. If you have permission to upload, you can do this from a mobile device or a computer. Here is an article with detailed steps.

How do I download a photo from Vidigami?

The school Vidigami Administrator decides which users have permission to download from Vidigami and whether this download includes single or multiple image downloads. If you have permission to download, you can do this from a mobile device (one photo at a time) or a computer (one or multiple photos). Here is an article with detailed steps.

How long will my photos be shared / stored?

As long as a school chooses to continue with Vidigami, the entire repository of media collected will be stored and made available to the school.  Families have access while their children are attending the school and at the school’s option, access to photos after they leave / graduate.

What is the difference between and album and a collection?

An Album is a place to group and organize photos on a Page. It can be used for an event (a field trip or sports game), for organizing periods of time (October happenings), and for curriculum units (earthquake models or art projects).

A Collection is an individual storage or working "folder". You create Collections in your personal space (by clicking on your name in Vidigami).

A school Vidigami Administrator decides who can view and contribute to Albums. They also decide if a user has the ability to create and share collections. Here is an article with more information.
